Pros

Good pay for the area I live in: health insurance: 40+ hr work week.

Cons

The HR system is a joke. You can express your feelings about a situation and it seems to just turn around on you. Caring and candor are not even there. They're used to managing a small group of people around 150 and now the plant has grown to 700+ employees which in all honesty brings more problems. The policies against harassment and hostile work environment aren't followed and favoritism is shown on a daily basis. People in management just know to say I'll be right back to help you with that. Confidentiality is a joke. Nothing is kept secret. What you say will be used against you and they always find a reason to pass blame to someone else instead of practicing what they preach about victimization. Open Door Policy is a joke. I scheduled meetings with management that seem to never happen. Was once told that if I left the line without telling my lead, who tells the department when and why you're going somewhere, I'd be fired for job abandonment even if my lead is the problem. Moving up in the company is a joke. I seen a girl who was there not even a year get a lead position over a man who's work there 11 years. If you are a thinker, then go somewhere else for a job. They don't like people who think no matter what they say. People who think in their job are moving targets and you'll reap the fallback of everything. Also, when someone does have an incident it seems like the people who are named dropped get backlash from management and people the investigation involve; they the almost immediately don't want anything to do with the investigation so the case goes nowhere.

Pros

The people are nice. Initial orientation very good. Flexible time off for doctors' appointments, etc as long as you get your work done.

Cons

Difficult to get promoted. Very political. Salaries are not competitive with what the region commands.
