Pros

Fun Flying, and Pretty easy work. A bigger sense of freedom and responsibility, meaning no body is watching over your every little move. This company trusts it pilots and is visibly working hard to better the lifestyle.

Cons

with the pilot shortage the schedule has been hectic but its getting better. And some the winter flying can be brutal standing out on the ramp.

Thank you for your feedback. We always appreciate hearing from our current employees. We are happy that you are enjoying the freedom and responsibility we award our pilots. We understand that the shortage of pilots can sometimes cause a busier schedule. But rest assured, our Recruiting team is working hard to fill our open pilot positions. As a current employee, we hope you are positively affected by these changes soon. As always, if you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to send them our way!

Pros

have from 10am to 4pm to yourself at out station. home everynight but get home at 8pm. Good jumpseating agreements that are getting better. Pay is pretty good if you don't mind these long days, with a couple ways to make extra money during the week.

Cons

5-6 days a week, some bases 13-15 hour duty day. show time 5am get back to base 7pm. some bases shorter days. short staffed so pilots are working more. Pilots getting burned out leaving before end of first year.

Thanks for taking time to leave us some feedback, we really appreciate it! We are glad to hear you are happy with the jump seat agreements and pay. Since your review, we’ve increased our pilot pay even more! We are aware of the pilot shortage making longer work weeks for our pilots. We know that at times it can be frustrating, but rest assured, our leadership teams are working hard to get to that 4 day work week for our pilots. As a current employee, we hope you are able to benefit from our changes soon. As always, if you have any suggestions, don’t hesitate to send them our way!

Pros

Great flying with great captains/friends. Friendly people. Good bases. Good training. I had a good time with great adventures.

Cons

Low income and poor benefits. Lack of organization. Schedule must be improved, we are flying more than we can handle. Lack of pilots. Not a good company to stick around, we could've been promoted to captains, that's the main reason why we are leaving. There are better opportunities out there for low time pilots (income, benefits, schedule)

Thanks for taking the time to review us. We are very happy to hear you have made friends and are enjoying the people, bases, training, and adventures that come with working at Ameriflight! We are constantly working to become a better company and have recently made some big changes regarding income, benefits, and schedule. Our hope is to go to a 4-day work week for pilots. We've changed healthcare providers and have introduced bonus programs. Regarding Captain upgrades, we have introduced some new programs to get you into the left seat faster!
