Lots of cons. Medusind. The other thing that isn't too great about this place is the dishonesty with the management. Your are promised one thing during an interview process but once you get the job they change there mind. No one seems to know how to communicate and it's a dang call center. Whether it be a manager, employee, accounting and HR. Seems as if no one sends or says anything to anyone at an appropriate time. If you like feeling like cattle this is the perfect place for you. They always have food or pot lucks going on. Also if you leave your pen (pod) you get the cattle prod to send you back to your desk. Seems as if I can't even go use the bathroom without someone asking why I am at break for longer then I need to be. If you have a problem with something don't expect it to be fixed right away. Takes at least 2 days to get an email back from someone. No one seems to have any follow up to any situation.
The training my gosh the training. At first it was great you learn a lot of stuff about teeth that I didn't even know existed. The only problem is most people seem to forget everything they learned as soon as they hit the floor. To problems as easy as reading something off of a claim form.... As I stated before no one has any follow up to any situation. When you first start out of training you were supposed to be assigned a mentor. Well unfortunately for me I was never assigned anyone to help me. I was just pushed into the shark tank with all the Sharks. Fine. Except when I actually do need help I have no one to go to. Everyone that you call outside of the call center is always in such a grumpy mood. You would think working in customer service for 25 years you could at least pretend like you like people.
Good luck with moving anywhere in the company if you start as a CSR. Once you start there you are stuck. The only way out is if you know someone better than you. I put in an application and didn't even get an interview, a denial, or my resume looked at. I work for the company...the least you can do is tell me I didn't get the job for some reason.
Don't take the night shift position. I repeat DO NOT accept the night shift position. No way of getting out of there once you start unless you can come up with a good excuse such as using your kids to your advantage.
I also noticed that if you ever need a day off or have something going on in your life make sure you have a sibling working in HR and you will be golden. HR always has enough pull.
Hope you enjoy! And send in your application today!
