Pros

Most everyone here shares a passion for education and making high quality products that help teachers and students. We also are flexible with people's work/life needs. I've been able to try new projects, advance in my career, and work collaboratively here to get things done without much bureaucracy.

Cons

Hard to find a meeting room :-)

Pros

I worked in Amplify since 2012 and I can make comparison between how things are done in that year and the following few years with how things are done in late 2016 and this year. Then, the Atlanta office alone had over 120 employees. We had so many teams and each teams striving to be agile were working on different features and parts of the system designing and building the application as they please. There was no components ownership and no guidelines controlled by architects or product owners! This resulted in the right hand doesn't know what the left hand is doing. There were conflicting behaviors and bad decisions caused us a lot to correct. But now the whole Atlanta office is 10 developers and 5 Support. I believe we are doing much better with much smaller team.

Cons

I should say that with the amount of responsibilities per person and the expected increase of our customers base around August, it will be like work with no end. Amplify should be hiring to bring more hands on deck.
