Pros

Amplify works very hard to create a culture that is inclusive. They value your opinion, listen and are truthful and sincere in assisting you with making the workplace enjoyable. I love the cold brew coffee, Waffle Wednesdays, Talent nights, Unlimited PTO and Company Picnics. We are a family and that is an amazing feeling! Amplify treats you like an actual adult and expect you to be accountable to yourself and the work you do. They trust that if you have a task or project that you will get it done in addition to offering assistance if you need it. They also consider the remote employees and we regularly have discussions with them and what their concerns and needs are. Inclusive 100%. We have regular town hall meetings where Amplify invite others in our field to discuss education & technology. The guest tell their story, offer advice and suggestions on how to continuously be better. We also have Vice and Carrot media in our building which is awesome for brunch bragging! I've had conversations with Spike Lee in the lobby, he has offices in our building also. We work in the best part of Brooklyn! Close to the water, parks and tons of food choices. When the weather is nice I go the to water with coworkers or under the bridge for the best grill cheese sandwiches from the food truck at the Dumbo lot. The company also supports our outside interest as well. Larry Berger the CEO invited us to the Whitney for a poetry reading he was a part of. Bill, our Director of System Engineering invites us to hear his band play at various events throughout the year and they also asked me to make gift bags for our annual sales meeting. (I make natural body products). We are a supportive group! Loyalty means a lot they expect it and they also give it.

Cons

I can't walk to work.

Don't call it a comeback...

Pros

We're learning from our mistakes and making positive steps forward post-News Corp. Management appears to be more in touch with both the long-term outlook and the day-to-day workings of the company.

Cons

We're still figuring things out on many fronts, so we're not the easiest place to come in and understand how the company works. We're not the fastest company at making decisions, we tend to overanalyze things at times.

If you care about the mission, a great place to show it

Pros

You're generally part of a small team with a lot of autonomy. The mission of the company helps attract people who care. The company philosophy allows for great flexibility and work/life balance. If you care about education, there are a lot of interesting projects to work on and problems to solve. There's a great culture for personal improvement and professional development.

Cons

Experiences can vary: While mine has been fantastic, others may have reason to complain. There appear to be several different management styles throughout the company (lots of autonomy is given to the various managers). Despite real attempts to solve the problem, it's still difficult for an individual to learn about what's going on with the rest of the company and to have cross team pollination.
