Pros

Remote, Remote, Provided a laptop "Flex Schedule"

Cons

Everything. I have been here almost 10 months and have never spoken to my director. My manager is a creep. Daily 30 minute zoom meetings that are POINTLESS. They want 150 dials, 3 hours of talk time, 3 sales per week. The revolving door is real. They took half of my warm leads randomly. They play favorites. The worse you do the worse leads you get. Each contractor you speak with has already been called over, and over, and over, and over and wants nothing to do with you. This job is bad for your mental health. All Angi cares about is money. As long as a contractor has a pulse and can pass a background check, then they are eligible to receive leads and work on Angi's behalf. That's nuts. Anyone with a hammer can claim they are a construction pro. Anyone with one rag and a bottle of bleach is a cleaning professional? Seriously? Everything negative you've heard about this company is true.

Thank you for leaving an honest review! We are glad you see the benefits of our remote-first work environment and enjoy the flexible schedules we extend to all full-time employees but are troubled by some of the cons you also mention. We strive to create an environment where all sales representatives feel valued, nurtured and supported by their team managers. As you may know, Angi currently has more service requests for projects than local service professionals on our platform, a good problem to have which is what makes our sales team so instrumental. Filling these gaps is important to our business to ensure we have a pro for every service request and is why our sales leaders are dedicated to ongoing trainings and team touch bases. If you are still having issues connecting with your Director, we recommend reaching out to your manager directly or HR (Laura Kato) as we value open communication and work hard to eliminate any barriers that hinder individuals from talking with leaders. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

None that come to mind!

Cons

Harrassing service professionals and if they refuse to cooperate by agreeing to sign up for the service you keep talking until they hangup. If or when they hangup the managers would change the ip address to make it seem like it was someone else calling or they would transfer the lead to another agent for the harrassment to continue. The sales that some agents are making are not from the general pool of mulled over leads that are repeatedly being called they are shown favoritism and given the warm leads ....the unsuspecting fools that they manage to lure in. Despite the beautiful ads in high rotation they can't keep descent employees. The rebranding from home advisor to angi nothing has or will help this organization unless the culture changes. Who in their right mind would have convicted criminals in managerial roles. I know everyone deserves a second chance however they exhibit that behavior in the corporate environment so no change has occurred once a criminal always a criminal!!!! Don't subject yourself to this for a paycheck definitely not worth your dignity!

Pros

I liked my direct supervisor. He helped to mentor me and tried to get me set up with Front End mentorship. They hired me as a junior, out of a bootcamp. There were exciting products to work on.

Cons

There was not a solid mentorship program in place. They expected mid-level production from a junior. There were hardly any standards on the front end. Things were always changing and documentation was all over the place. Their legacy app was a nightmare with no documentation for support.

We appreciate your response and are encouraged you liked your direct supervisor as well as had exciting products to work on during your time here at Angi. The company recently went through some leadership changes that directly impacted the technical and engineering teams. As a result, we now have a clear vision moving forward on the projects that will be a priority with the goal of re-focusing the tech organization to become the home for all things home. This mission will take time, but we are excited at the progress that has been made so far. At Angi we have amazing leaders who provide instrumental mentorship to their colleagues and counterparts. These efforts have been further complemented by the rollout of our new values which we believe will be further showcased in the months to come.
