Pros

Opportunity for advancing within the company if you perform well.

Cons

Very little support from management. Management only cares about transactions and securing more deals instead of building relationships.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience at Angi. Promoting from within is something we are dedicated to prioritizing and we're excited you saw these opportunities during your time with us. Providing the best experience for our customers is vital to our continued success. This is why we emphasize our value "Start With the Customer" during training and have products that can be tailored to the service providers we serve. While metrics are important to help us reach our strategic goals, it's also important to garner meaningful relationships with our customers and teams. We're sorry you did not see this fully while at Angi but hope you were able to take advantage of the additional training classes we offer or 1:1 time with your manager to assess what was needed for your personal growth. One of our benefits for full-time team members is a flexible PTO policy which team members are encouraged to take in order to properly recharge throughout the year. Thank you again for sharing your experience and we wish you the best in your future endeavors. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy

Pros

Coworkers are fun, the work culture is mostly young people and they try to keep things fun

Cons

The base pay is only $16 an hour, literally less than you’d make in a fast food restaurant. The actual “product” (if you’d even call it that) is garbage. The leads you are selling to contractors are a lot of dead ends, especially for the bigger, more expensive, projects. A lot of the people you sign up will end up in debt after they use the service. They are also being sued for using third party leads when sales reps are trained that all the leads come from homeowners coming directly to the site. Contractors OFTEN report getting leads from people who have no idea why they’re being called, or put in the service request weeks before. The numbers they have you cold calling have gone down in quality exponentially, they have favorites and send all of the hottest leads to the top performers- if you want to make money you will have to spend your free time prospecting online and searching for people to call. They have changed the commission structure several times and are focusing on revenue now instead of the nominal sale, they expect you to keep contractors on board and make them spend money but don’t offer and credits or ways to rectify the trash leads they’re sending out- so most cancel very quickly, meaning your check is negatively affected. While there are a couple people making a ton of money, unless you’re making 4+ sales a week, your commission checks are laughable. I’d say most people are making between 40-50k before taxes, which are insane because it’s a sales job. A top rep just got fired recently due to making up SSNs, which is something a lot of people in the company were doing. They send out a lot of gift cards as rewards, but don’t tell you you’re going to be taxed on the amount of the gift card. This company is a sham, unless you have zero morals/ethics I do not suggest working here.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us! We are elated that you describe our culture and team members as "fun", however, would like to unpack some of the callouts within the remainder of your review. Our sales representatives play an integral role in growing our network of over 200K service providers. Because of this, we extend an uncapped commission structure to representatives in addition to a base salary. We also provide leads so that representatives can focus on tailoring our products to customers vs. sourcing on their own. Our lead process gives all representatives an equal opportunity to obtain the warmer leads with the same benchmarks and tools for success provided across teams. Integrity is an important standard that we take very seriously across the organization and favoritism of any kind is not tolerated. If team members witness this on their team, we encourage them to reach out to HR immediately so we can take proper action. While not all change is easy at first, changes we've made to our sales structure is with the success of our sales representatives in mind. We hope that in the coming months these benefits make a positive impact in your role. - Tom Cheatham, SVP Sales Strategy
