Great Experience at Apollo Mechanical

Pros

- Great learning experience for college students that gives additional perspective besides the traditional general contracting route that most universities push. - Great company culture. Employees really strive to live the values of the company. - Great opportunity to potentially grow with the company and become a valuable asset in industry

Cons

- Seems that office staff may not be adequately trained enough to fulfill responsibilities - Lack of training program for employees but can see the beginnings of training programs being instituted.

As far as the service department goes, it’s hard to work for the manager that has a bad attitude towards sales people. I kept being reminded how he would prefer adding my salary to the profits instead of paying me. Second week in, he kept reminding me that he couldn’t believe how sales positions make money and think they’re over paid. Also said I couldn’t make jokes or else I’d be making enemies in the office and then crack my same joke 10 minutes later. -So no opportunity for advancement in sales. -Treated negatively compared to the techs and other office people. -All the office people talked poorly about the techs. -Worked there for 3 months and felt the discrimination from the previous sales people the manager had in there previously.
