Pros

-worthwhile mission -interesting conservation and climate outreach

Cons

-staff who express concerns are treated poorly, as if raising an issue is itself the real problem -exclusionary cliquish culture -unreliable statements by management that are not followed up on lead to problems with transparency and trust amongst staff -internal power squabbles harm the ability to trust / grow as an organization -- it is a culture where management will cut off a nose to spite the face

Pros

- Allows for good work/life balance - Mission is great and many co-workers are friendly and well meaning - Good benefits and good vacation time

Cons

- Organization priorities are not clearly defined - Resistant to new technology and new working processes - Many employees have never worked anywhere else and lack professionalism, organization skills, ability to do their job, and willingness to collaborate - Resources are limited and seem to be distributed based on favoritism rather than actual need or strategy - Salaries are fairly low for most workers, but disproportionately high for upper administration - Clear favoritism shown to certain departments

Pros

Great colleagues and good benefits. Organization is still highly respected within New England, great addition to a resume.

Cons

Morale at Boston office is incredibly low due to layoffs and disconnect from leadership team. HR office way too small to support a staff of this size well.
