Pros

My coworkers for the most part are nice. My current supervisor does not micromanage but most do there. You get your birthday off now paid.

Cons

After working there for over 10 years I have learned that I am stuck. I am extremely good at what I do so they will not let me move to a different department or advance me any further where I am at. I am expected to do more work than others and paid pathetically for it. I started at a low wage to begin with. Way lower than other companies I came to find. And lower than others that started around the same time. And over the years they have hired new technicians who get paid more than I did when I started and know a lot less. Raises are sad. Barely COLA. And they are not keeping up with industry standards. If you work hard you would think your raise would reflect it. They do not here. In fact the person who does little to no work will get almost the same raise as you. Turnover in technical support is high. Really really high! Most people do not last past the year mark. I think because training is a joke and they throw you into it. The stress level is high and they seem to pile on more work...for the same pay. There are several supervisors that micromanage. And there are managers that do the same thing. And it really does not matter how well you do your job if they do not like you the chances of you going anywhere is nil.

Pros

Friendly people, good commute. Good at recognizing birthdays and anniversaries. CEO is a good guy-always keeps us updated on the company. Good entry level job.

Cons

Micromanaged(feel like I'm 10 years old sometimes), low pay. (Really low pay) Customer Support has the lowest pay in the company for some reason. The training isn't great- you learn on the fly..but it's painful at first for you and the customer till you know what you're doing. It's possible to advance..but hard. Turnover rate is high in customer support. Management can be really passive-aggressive.

Pros

Never a lack of work - stimulating environment with lots of changes. Keeps things interesting. CEO has great vision and excellent ability to articulate that to employees. He's more connected to the business than any other CEO i've worked for.

Cons

Terrible pay and absolutely no checks and balances between what executives are doing and what is "right" to do per HR/Corporate standards. Management will give you more work if you do your work well but never a pay raise. In fact, this company is known to give "title changes" without any money to go with it - they will just roll a pay increase into your cost of living increase instead (a raise you would have received anyways). Huge lack of feedback on performance and encouragement on a job well done. The management seems to do what they want in regards to compensation. There isn't a lot of opportunity for growth and no rhyme or reason to compensation based on education and experience. Very disheartening! Also, managers really do no manage anything. This company is still highly micromanaged by executives, especially when it comes to budget. They have high expectations about what they want you to accomplish but don't give you the resources to be able to manage those results.
