Smart colleagues; interesting work; a beautiful location

Cons

Since work depends on customer contracts, tenure may be outside of an individual employee's control.

Thanks for posting, and for the nice comment. This location gets even more beautiful now that spring is here. Our work is indeed driven by customer contracts; that's part of what makes things so diverse and interesting. And we already do what you suggest: use contractors as a buffer against retraction in business. It seems to be working, since we've had no layoffs while tripling our size over the past 15 years. Wonderful, Dedicated Work Enviroment

Pros

The people- the size of the company means you really get to know everyone The work- The jobs you get to work on are really neat and pretty influential

Cons

Location- The office is pretty old and I think a larger, newer space would attract a lot more employees.

Thanks so much for the nice words! I know what you mean about the office, the old building is what comes with being here on the water in Northport village. In order to get something newer we'd be stuck moving out to Route 110 or Hauppague or something, and I just like it better being in a nice little village. As you can see, we're finally able to spruce up the place a bit (I know it's taking a long time, but it's hard to do without disturbing people), and we do have the newer satellite office up the street. If you have ideas on how to make this place better, please do come see me to brainstorm.
