      Pros

      Motivated, sharp co-workers or employees. Management promotes a collaborative work environment. Senior leadership is very accessible, very transparent and takes employees viewpoint seriously.

      Cons

      Still going through transformation. Transformation activities add another layer to daily activities, thereby increasing workload and pressure (but this can be seen as a positive as it provides a platform for growth).

      Poor Engineering Management

      Pros

      Aptean hires 90% straight out of school graduates so it is a good place to start your career with very little experience. It has nice benefits.

      Cons

      They hire experienced staff to train the new college graduates and then fire, lay off, or run off the experienced people. The experienced people are so busy dealing with tactical issues that no one is focusing on the strategic issues. Staff are expected to follow orders and work long hours for low pay. The culture does not allow asking questions or making suggestions. They want blind obedience.

      Bad place for software salespeople

      Pros

      There are some smart, dedicated and fun people working for Aptean. Trying to build corporate culture in Atlanta office with many entry-level, new employees.

      Cons

      Management is disconnected from field sales organization and decisions are driven by private equity owner's EBITDA goals. Too much old technology in 30 plus applications and they're reducing R&D spend on most of them.
