Stay away from Austin office

Business Outlook

Pros

* Engineering focus * Very laid back atmosphere

Cons

* Terrible, terrible documentation. Be prepared to deal with system-level code with minimum commenting. * Lack of transparent levels. * Outside of stock price going up, minimum salary increment. Company is cheap with minimum perks. * Team dependent but my experience has been that it's just chaotic in general. * Austin office specifically is a dumpster fire.

If Acquired ...Run!!!

Pros

Leader in the big data center space and for Telco/Fin Service and Service providers like Aamazon/google etc... Great engineering heritage and best in class "hardware" focused infrastructure products leading technology and can take on the big boys like Cisco if they ever get some marketing and top mgmt to fire up the troops with better directon and strategy

Cons

Run for the hills if acquired. They have ruined some great acquisitions by not knowing how to treat employees from the acquired and the process of integration. I saw a few companies acquired and the executive team/CEO don't care about the people. Lost tons of great talent. Keep the founders for a bit, don't pay the people as they were promised, and use their technology to build out the story Sales is not a true sales org. It's like an insurance company. I can't even go into the detail of how crazy they view sales and any leader there has resigned themselves to just watching their options/equity rise while they churn sales folks. They get paid nada on commissions and its the have/have nots. The same boys club has been there for years and have all the top producing accounts while they churn through reps. It is not a place for real Top A rated competitive sales reps. You will hate it Execs don't care about the sales org. They believe their tech is so superior anyone can sell it. there is a core group of people who have been there for years due to equity and won't leave. And should be shown the door They will never take on Cisco with the culture in place in the sales org which comes down from the CEO. They will always be second or third place until new leadership takes over

Cut throat culture

Pros

Great products and string engineering but horrible way to map SEs as you never know who you get. Again, weak immature leadership

Cons

Cutthroats who only care about keeping what they can and steeling accounts as often as possible. Me Me Me culture.
