Pros

Gain great experience, good employees, stable company, nice family atmosphere although that is quickly changing as corporate is becoming too big.

Cons

Salaried employees are asked to do too much, they are worked long hours and are not rewarded for it. The company doesn't not balance work/family. Wages are not competitive. Becoming too top heavy, there are way too many V.P.'s.

Demanding hours, aging assets leading to challenging assignments.

Pros

This facility empowers young employees and allows them to take issues and try solutions. So much knowledge from middle management at the plant. The experience I gained here will be the foundation of my professional life.

Cons

This place does tend to grind people down. 24/7 operation with things breaking, the managers do care and try to balance the work load. It is the nature of working in a ~70 year old cement plant.
