Pros

Good pay, engaging environment. You have freedom in choosing projects. Allow you to grow and develop your skills by actively working. You are able to work with C-level executives early on.

Cons

Company changes its mind on a dime. Recurring issues recur often, are consistently swept under the rug. Software feature planning is very weak. Much of the supporting software infrastructure is outdated and caving in on itself. Hard to move within the company.

Your experience serves as a great example of the many opportunities available for employees here at AspenTech. We encourage employees to leverage their skills with challenging and interesting project work. With respect to movement within the company, approximately 10% of our open positions in the fiscal year were filled through our internal mobility program. This included a handful of people relocating from other countries. In addition, we promote approximately 12% of our employee population each fiscal year, in our last fiscal year, this was approximately 200 employees.

Pros

Very friendly coworkers Fairly supportive coworkers Good pay (initially, getting a raise is a much different story)

Cons

Overly critical management Lack of appreciation Management offered very little support in the way of advice or resources Management often forgot to follow up on projects and then threw employees under the bus Management sent inconsistent and often contradictory messages to employees Excessive overtime Poor employee moral, which became pretty depressing after a while

Thanks for the feedback. We are sorry to hear about your felt lack of support. It is important that employees feel supported and heard in their jobs. We promote a culture of resonant leadership, and are in the process of rolling out organizational development and management training programs to support and drive that type of leadership across the company globally?

Pros

The new CEO is trying to change the culture to make it more inclusive by expanding the leadership team. The employee moral is trending up due to cultural activities and bringing in some class to company events. The salary ranges are not bad.

Cons

Highly focused on Sales need a bit more focus on back office processing and systems to enable customer satisfaction. The new employees get the advantage of new salary bands but the longtimers are cut short due to salary increase policy!!!

Thanks for your feedback. We have a cross-functional leadership team who are focused on inspecting our internal processes and driving improvements in these areas. We review our compensation bands and merit process each year, and benchmark our jobs and processes against other software companies. We remain competitive in these areas.
