Pros

Fair (but not great) pay. People at the director level and lower are great.

Cons

Executive team seems to thinks forcing people into the office 3 days a week is the answer to all of the companies problems, when in reality it's driving half of the problems (and it's really obvious that's the problem). Too much emphasis on uniformity and adherence to policy, as opposed to finding solutions and solving problems in flexible ways.

Pros

- Passionate technical consultants genuinely champion AspenTech products, demonstrating unwavering commitment. - A cohesive community of technical consultants fosters collaboration and camaraderie. - Within the AspenTech community, there's a prevailing sense that we possess a technical solution for every customer need.

Cons

- Operational decisions often necessitate the CEO's approval, causing bottlenecks and centralization. - Middle managers and VPs appear to navigate a culture of fear due to the 'My way or the highway' stance from C-level. - Turnover is anormaly high, particularly in the sales team, requiring constant recruitment efforts. - Customer renewals adhere to rigid legal perspectives, with little room for negotiation or customized solutions. - Despite solid technological foundations, the technology portfolio displays signs of aging. - Services options for customers are limited in scope, hindering comprehensive solutions. - The company's tech identity falls short of a full-fledged tech enterprise, hindering agility for micro-services and tailored data science solutions. - Compensation packages lack competitiveness. - Salary increments fail to keep up with inflation, and promotions occur at a sluggish pace. - The company's progress on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) fronts is lagging, evidenced by a notable gender gap and underrepresentation of black professionals. I'd recommend to a friend using AspenTech as a stepping-stop to advance one's career, rather than a long-term position - All because of the under the current management paradigm.

Pros

Good products but that is it.

Cons

Upper management thinks they know it all and don't listen to any advice to improve. Micromanagement environment. Work-life balance doesn't exist here.
