Pros

The role is relatively easy to learn, and the team members are supportive and enjoyable to work with.

Cons

Heavy workload for a lower-volume store, with product allocation exceeding available floor and backroom space. Improved alignment from corporate on inventory distribution would help support store operations.

Decline in morale due to new management style

Pros

My experience at the company started out very positively. The initial leadership team was supportive and fostered a strong sense of community and teamwork. However, a recent change in management has led to a significant shift in the work environment. The new leadership style has unfortunately resulted in a decline in team morale and a departure from the collaborative culture I initially enjoyed.

Cons

A significant challenge within the company stems from a lack of transparency from the leadership team. Decisions are often made without clear communication, leaving employees feeling disconnected from the company’s overall strategy. There is also a tendency for leaders to consistently reference their past experiences at previous companies, which can come across as dismissive of the current team’s culture and expertise. This leadership style has unfortunately contributed to a difficult work environment where some employees appear to be focused on individual success rather than collaborative teamwork, making it hard to build a strong sense of trust. The resulting high employee turnover is a clear indicator of these underlying issues and should be a point of consideration.

Pros

Schedule and other zone leads.

Cons

Toxic leadership. As most of us know by now human resources is only there to protect the company and not the employee. When reporting issues you will become known as a nuisance and Never positive feedback. When management and corporate executives walk your dept., they don’t walk with you. I find that disheartening and demoralizing. As a zone lead you will run freight 40 out of your 40 hours a week. Do not be fooled thinking you’ll “lead”, you will not.
