I worked for SNC-L for over 3 years and loved the challenge of the project. The team was a consortium of engineering firms and we merged our knowledge and really made a difference. The project was a success completing the work way before the approved end date and well within the budgetary envelop. I learned a lot working there as I was heading a department. Not only we did a great job on the project, but indirectly injected know-how in the region allowing employees to further develop their career with what they learned while working on the project. If you have a chance to work lor SNC-L, go for it, but be ready to find another project at the end since they normally don't salvage the resources once the project is completed. Average duration of project is about 3 years, so it allows you to learn a lot and gain strong experience in the field you work. Thank to the Lavalin back in the early 70's investing in engineering and project management in various large projects in Quebec (Hydro-Quebec, SEBJ, tunnels, building, waste water plants, etc). Thanks SNC-L for allowing me to learn/develop my expertise!
