Pros

I was part of the Oracle licenses Sales process which was new to the organization. I have spent 2 years with this company. The company was really ready to explore & innovate the process which they never tried before. They never hesitated or said "No" to anything that i wanted to try. They are Pro innovation and out-of-the-box approach and readily encourage & accept anything is that helps grow their business. Work Life Balance: I wish i could have an option to give a 10/5 rating for them. Atleast in the Sales & marketing team we would not need to stretch too much beyond work timings. I have always seen them going the extra mile to take care of the employee and their needs. They give realistic goals & enable people to achieve them in their best possible manner. Work Culture & opportunities: The positive attitude and willingness of the top management has to be noted specifically. There is not any politics, favoritism & other things that demotivates the morale of the employee. Decisions will be purely taken from business standpoint of what is needed / not needed for the company and where the effort is needed. Adding to that, management has a no-nonsense culture. If the employee does not carry the right attitude, consider him/her to be out pretty soon(that is part of the Pros and not Cons). Management : Since the management chain is flat, agile & the processes are pretty straightforward, employee will not have a lot of challenges to deal with the company and they are pretty much protected. Opportunities : You will have endless opportunities to explore anything and everything which adds value to the organization & the business. Be it Social media, marketing, branding. we have the liberty to try, explore, add value regardless of our core resposiblity. However we need to have in mind that we will be evaluated on our core responsibility, so we need to make sure our efforts are influencing us to deliver better on our core resposiblity.

Cons

Constructive Feedback : The Backbone and the foundation of this organization is extremely strong and has an ideal culture with the top management. However it finds itself difficult to translate and influence/infuse and further transition that to the last level employee in the chain. There is lot of friction & attenuation where the intensity of the culture & the positive attitude gets lost inbetween before it reaches the lasr level employee in the org chart. Result - The entry or mid level is not in their fullest potential while at work. While i leave my performance to be reviewed by the management, if i have to look at and rate my peers colleagues, I would say majoirity of them were not very ineffective in meeting the expectations of the management. The management is clear in going the extra mile to retain the people with right attitude and skillset. They let go of around more than 60-70% of the people because they find them to be ineffective and not upto their expectations. If i am right, my suggestion would be to strengthen the HR marketing(not product marketing). HR marketing should work in communicating the positive attitude and the culture deeper into the branches such a way that the end employee or contractor gets a strong message day-in-out. They will become the brand ambassadors to evangelize Atlas Systems. With that you will get new people with right attitude and skillset who will do great things for the company and it will be a chain reaction. This HR marketing should be first internal & then external so that whatever Atlas communicates outside through social media will be mirrored by current employees too. It does not involve mainstream media and hence it is cost effective. Internal communication is almost nil when it comes to sharing the values and culture of this great system. If that does not happen it will create silos and people will not know what is happening in the company and eventually think that they are doing a mundane work and it will show up in their motivation level. I have personally seen many being complacent, cribbing, taking the system for granted, with can't do attitude which has strong connections to what i spoke above.

What a comprehensive review, beautifully written and with a lot of great insight, so thank you so much for sharing it. I appreciate your feedback around HR marketing-- We are hoping some of the initiatives we have started this year will help to improve Internal Communication & importance of entry or mid level employee but happy to chat more in person to understand your feedback. Agree that we can continue to improve our brand communication- I love your point about the endless opportunity that Atlas Systems provides to make a difference, it's one of the reasons I love coming to work every day also. I think your push on building better culture & value is important one. Thanks for the review--we love hearing from Atlas Systems Alumni! we'll keep working hard to improve! - Puneet
