Pros

Fully dedicated to remote work, high comp compared to other remote employers, lots of kind helpful coworkers despite the downward company culture trend

Cons

Brutal performance management including stack ranking (each cycle orgs are required to mark 10% of employees below 'meets expectations'), continual reduction in benefits/perks/team gathering budgets, tepid stock price, and now the beginning of layoffs for people obsoleted by AI

Pros

Atlassian has an amazing culture that shows up in several teams. Most management is currently trying to hold strong to the startup culture and keep that close to the chest.

Cons

Big time Meta takeover. Very big on extended performance reviews that take way more time away from the managers to help grow and foster growth within their teams.

Pros

Talented and kind people across most departments Great benefits and competitive pay Strong branding and transparency values

Cons

Internal resources are fragmented — there are layers upon layers of attempts to reorganize things, but no full overhaul, so you're often digging through outdated Confluence pages and noisy Slack channels just to find basic info Slack signal-to-noise ratio is low Structure can feel chaotic, especially in support or ops roles where documentation, ownership, and expectations change frequently Job requirements significantly changed I was explicitly told to lower the quality of my work to hit a volume goal — something that felt misaligned with the company’s stated values
