Pros

-My coworkers were wonderful, I thoroughly enjoyed the picnics and barbecues involved while working there. -I learned a tremendous amount and was able to grow exponentially. Atmosera is a great place to step into the tech industry and get your footing and hands on experience in a quickly growing cloud hybrid environment. Because of Atmosera I now have more of an idea about where I would like to focus my talents in this industry.

Cons

-The cons far outweigh the positives of working at Atmosera, I worked there for a year and ~6 months, and I would not go back again unless there is a change with management, as well as organizational changes with client management and operational management - stop siloing!! -A specific person was given the task to lead in an area where they lack the skills necessary to be a true leader. This has impacted the company tremendously. This person manipulates situations when employees make mistakes by using fear based tactics to get the results he desires, thus creating a far worse outcome - a toxic environment and high turnover. It may get the results desired in the short term, but is not a healthy place to stay if you end up making any kind of mistake. Keep your nose clean, show good work ethic, and you won't even notice the toxic environment if working in operations. Most current employees are aware but some continue to be surprised to hear the experiences of those in the line of fire. The CEO is making steps to improve this...after the last batch of us left he seems to be more aware now then ever. I believe with time things may change, and I truly do hope Atmosera continues to grow at the pace they have with the people they have. There are some extremely talented folks who work there. I value every connection I made and look forward to hearing the good things that are accomplished by all in the future.

Thanks for the response here and apologies for not responding earlier... though probably a good thing as it has allowed for activities to take place. We have now consolidated three organizations under one group - client operations - and hired a new VP from out of Oregon to lead this focused organization (no silos). We've had a lot of success in 2019 and we'll continue to augment/elevate the positive things we're doing and leverage data points and action to improve the things that challenge us.

Pros

The lifeblood of the company is it's everyday employees, from technical support, to finance, to engineering. The people not in the spotlight, but keeping everything together and doing it with pride....I loved these people! These are some of the best people I've ever worked with in my career. Good benefits and compensation Great solution architects and engineering Interesting market and opportunity The newer executive team is solid, but I also thought the previous management team was great too Fun team events

Cons

Too much turnover. In less than 6 months our entire team turned over and 3 executives were gone too. Unfortunately, the CEO has some major personality issues. He's charming and will bring you into his thought process and inner circle, but make one or two mistakes and you're all of sudden untrustworthy. And to make matters worse, he never has a good thing to say about anybody, the CFO, sales team, marketing....everyone else is to blame..he's never accountable. I just don't get what the board sees in him. He's a good person, but a lousy boss. Another reviewer had mentioned leaving on a positive note like me yet feeling like the CEO said bad things about me on the outside....I have felt the same treatment. The place is dark and cubes outdated. The HR team was very robotic and not interested in feedback. The onboarding was a mess.

I appreciate the constructive perspective and I thank you for the positive elements. I will say, the three executives left almost a year prior to your review here – one to AWS for a dream job, one to be the Managing Partner at the creative firm who developed/managed our website and does a bunch of cool/creative/cutting edge things in their space, and the other, well… yes, she just left after a quick rise supported heavily by me from an IC role as an existing sales account executive to designing/leading our entire CSM team. She found something that was a better, more positive fit for her. In all three cases, we've found positive, experienced leaders who continue to elevate our game. They are amazing additions. Relative to trust… trust is the foundation of a well run company and all sides of the company equation can never stop doing the things that earn and build trust. The ability to earn and build trust is what every employee – all of us – must bring to the table at Atmosera… trust is at the center of why customers are with us, trust is at the center of our success. Trust in our business is more critical than in most businesses. We architect, deploy, and manage mission-critical infrastructure and our customers trust us to take care of that 24x7x365 when they outsource the management to Atmosera. This may seem innocuous to someone reading that… but when you truly interact with our customers around the nation/globe, you’ll quickly understand that quite literally lives, jobs, and company reputations rely on us to deliver on our promises. Hospitals, health clinics, and other healthcare companies run on our infrastructure, SaaS companies run on our infrastructure, financial institutions run on our infrastructure, government runs on our infrastructure, emergency response providers run on our infrastructure, some of the coolest brands run on our infrastructure (to give a few examples)… the moment we violate trust with our clients, the moment we don’t live up to our ability to provide a seamless infrastructure experience… that’s when someone else does and the process of coming to that realization is painful, expensive, and… really way opposite of fun. It takes a team and no one is perfect, so mistakes do happen, I make / own them, etc… no one has ever been fired for making a mistake at Atmosera… but there is a common-sense level of performance expectation that mirrors the expectation and tolerance of those that we support. We trust that we all understand that.

Cons

- Quite a bit of turnover, but does seem to be slowing.
