Pros

We do lots of critically important things for our clients. We manage infrastructure for some really big companies and they rely on us to be good at what we do. There are lots of hallway conversations and quick problem solving sessions as we make good on our commitment to clients. The people here are great. Management is management and pushes hard and while that is unpleasant at times, I do see where they are headed. The CEO is very approachable and encourages questions so whenever I see something that I don't understand I always go to him and ask. So far, he's always told me what he was thinking and helped me to understand some things that weren't obvious. Kinda cool to be able to talk to a CEO like that.

Cons

There has been quite an shake up in Finance and Accounting with a few key people leaving and sometimes it seems like we're not getting training on some of the new tools.

Thank you for the comments and yes, always feel free (and I'm glad you do) to email, come over, or reach out with questions, comments, or concerns. Live feedback with context, pointing out of improvements that need to happen with ideas on what we should do, questions of all sorts, or just general conversation to make a stronger connection... I'm up for it all. 2018 was a year focused on some pretty big internal improvements (core network upgrade/SDN, storage/vCenter consolidations, ticketing/portal, etc.)... 2019 will be focused on teams/culture and strategic projects that have tangible customer impacts. Enhanced training on tools, consolidation of tools, etc. is within the road map this year. I'm pretty excited with the impacts we'll make this year. Thank you again.

Pros

The management team knew there were lots of changes that needed to happen and this last year especially have done a good job in making sure that we carve off enough of the necessary changes to move forward and show positive progress. Operationally there have been many consolidations this year in the phone system, numbers of stacks to manage, and numbers of devices to manage. In Sales there have been many new faces as of late, but there is quite a bit of new activity and the salespeople are hitting their stride. In Accounting we had been running three billing systems and we are now in the midst of consolidation to a single system. There still is more to do, but I like the way we are tackling it in manageable pieces. The culture is pretty cool too. Lots of collaboration and working things out together. We are also growing pretty rapidly now as a result of a large deal with a Fortune 100 company, it's exciting.

Cons

As people can gather from some other reviews, not everyone seems to be ready for the change.

Thank you for your comments/feedback. Credit goes to the employees within the teams you mention... we've experienced a ton of positive achievement this past year as a result of prioritization, decisiveness, action, and teamwork. Change is challenging - even for those who are used to it - but here's one of my views relative to working in a change environment. Thanks again for taking the time to add comments. https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/excel-what-you-control-jon-thomsen/

Pros

I've never been in a startup but I imagine that working at one is just like working at Atmosera. The CEO often says that we're trying to do so many things at the same time and most companies can only succeed at doing one, but it sure is fun! I like getting up and going to work every day because I have no idea the problems I'll run into and eventually help to solve. The newness of every day is refreshing. I have been in jobs that are the same old thing again and again, and yes there are things that are repetitive it is a new experience all the time.

Cons

I'd have to say resources. I think that would be the same with any startup though because you can't spend lots of money on things that aren't proven yet. Even so, having more team members might allow us to grow faster.
