Though I worked in Syntel only for few months, I like few things; 1). A policy that an employee can get promoted if he/she (depending an on internal requirement) clears a client interview for a higher position. The promotion happens in the following appraisal cycle. 2). The level of work in Indian IT can be performed by 12th standard students with proper guidance/mentoring and I liked the fact that Syntel looks to recruit such school/college drop-outs.
