more cons than pros but you can weight them
Pros
Gives Onsite opportunity but only if you are technically good and have great rapport with manager. At offshore still you can switch technology. Good for fresher but only if your technology is good. Good for fresher if they want to pursue further degree like MS or MBA since syntel mostly do not have many development project so work pressure is less. If you are good at pleasing your manager and also good at politics you can grow easily even if technically weak. If joining at manger position (PM)then it's a wise decision. you get paid for nothing which is what most people desire.
Cons
well you don't get good projects since syntel do not have one. worst appraisal and rating system.even if you take your case up to CEO level. company main motto was Client, now even that being gone wonder what they are focussing now on. you could be asked to put down papers without reason.actually there is a reason , you might not be your manager's pet. desiring money is joke and promotion is SIN. you can't question the foolproof appraisal system.
