      Nothing to say, it is a bad company

      Cons

      I came in US on H1B from Syntel. They are putting lot of bonds and rules. Asking to much money for bond break. There Health insurance is very bad. Employee contribution is 450 per month and dedutables 4000 in a year. Very difficult to afford this. They are not processing the green card. During hiring they will let all these stuff and they will cheat you.

      Pros

      Probably good for onsite opportunities in India. The reasons they provide for not giving you a hike are worth mentioning and laughing your heart out when you meet your friends.

      Cons

      Once you are at Onsite, they treat you like you owe them a favor. They make you work for 16 hours a day and give you silly reasons for not giving you a hike at appraisals. They don't provide you opportunities that match your skill set. You need to sacrifice everything and learn stuff that they need in order to survive. No benefits. The insurance they provide is really bad. On the day of my resignation, I was drawing the same salary that I drew 3 years back when I joined Syntel.

      Good to start as a trainee Onsite oppurtunities

      Cons

      Above said are dependent on your manager and the way he or she likes you. If not you are screwed. Worst appraisal process. No matter what you do, you always get a silly response from manager during the appraisal discussion. Onsite managers are far worse and they keep you in rotation. Doesn't really matter on how best you perform. Very poor pay grades when compared to market value. Most chances are that you get 20% to 40% of market value
