Don’t get sick

Pros

Most of the employees are great. Some of them want the world served on a silver platter. It is a secure job as long as you put your head in a hole.

Cons

Don’t get sick or they will terminate your employment without notice. Don’t look for good healthcare benefits just because it is a hospital. The healthcare benefits are the worst I have ever seen!!

Pros

Well managed to stay competitive. Organization expanding and have not had lay offs, unlike others in the area. Progressive quality and change management.

Cons

Huge organization, can be political, excellent for advancement if your a man, good if your a woman.

Pros

Night staff was good. Takes 30 mins to get to work.

Cons

Department leadership is a joke - why hire inexperienced supervisors? Voicing concerns is considered complaining. Salary is a joke - I worked at Duke making more than $4/hr and made better benefits - the cost of living is cheaper in Durham..
