Pros

-Great Work/Life Balance -Great Benefits (Health, Dental, PTO) -Great Coworkers -Hospital care about it employees -They want you to grow and succeed within the organization

Cons

-The pay is lower than you could get at a for-profit company, but that should be somewhat expected -Not a lot of room for promotion due to high employee retention rate

Pros

Flexible hours, telecommute, decent healthcare if you use CMC physicians. If you want to come in and do your daily tasks and then go home, you can comfortably do that here for 40 years, with your 2% annual increase and total job security.

Cons

Pay is low for non-clinical positions, IT training is hard to come by, management is uninformed on most things, using non-CMC healthcare will cost you. If you are looking for a career with growth potential, you'll be hard pressed to find it in IT - though they re-org every year just for the sake of change, the rate of promotion is sorely lacking.
