Pros

The opportunity to change a patient’s life for the better. Coworkers are great

Cons

Management views you as a productivity robot and has told me that patient outcomes don’t matter. No compassion for your life circumstances- if you have a complicated birth, if your kids get sick, if a family member dies- missing a day of work for any unexpected reason means a ding on the attendance policy. Very little opportunity for promotion.

Pros

Remote work is great. Decent benefits. Promotes work/life balance.

Cons

Since merging with Advocate Aurora, things have changed for the worst. We’re too big and people are getting lost in the crowd. They promote people to enterprise & leadership roles because they have the credentials and education, but they’re not leaders. I wouldn’t follow some of these leaders through the front door.
