Pros

Every day I feel like I'm making an impact with the children that I work with. Supervisors are supportive and responsive.

Cons

Training can be a little over whelming when you first start but it was important. Without all that training I don't think that I would be so confident working with children that have ASD.

Pros

Everyone in this company is kind and inviting with a mission to help adults and children all over. This is a place to be if you want to feel good about what you do and make a difference in someone’s life. This company is also amazing if you plan to expand your career in ABA because they will help you in anyway they can.

Cons

You don’t get to meet coworkers very much.

Pros

Working as a Behavior Interventionist for ABSI will be one of the most rewarding experiences of your life if you are someone who wants to provide psychological health services to those in need. Working with the children to develop more socially appropriate skills is both the job and it’s main benefit. When your client makes a breakthrough and begins speaking or tapping your shoulder in place of screaming, it’s because you’ve taught him those behaviors and at that point you really realize just how important your work is. ABSI also works to conform to student schedules and is very flexible, so it is a great job to have while getting your education that will land you some experience in a psychology field! If you discover a passion for the work, there is a great deal of advancement opportunity within the company that becomes available with experience and education.

Cons

Some days will be more difficult than others. It can take a great deal of patience, but this will come with practice as you work with the kids.
