Life Changing

Pros

When I say working here has changed my life, I truly mean it. I have found a place where I feel supported, welcomed, and uplifted on a consistent basis. I am so grateful for the friendships I have developed in coming to this agency. While the organization is massive, it is apparent that they hire people who genuinely care and wish to push you to be your best. The company is always striving to better itself and improve the services provided to families. Not only does the company support the families, the employees are well considered in so many different aspects. I am overall so proud to say I work here!

Cons

It can be a very independent job in all aspects, so be prepared. Thankfully, many people are around to support you when needed! I wish there were better access to support teams - while I appreciate those supports I work with, I think the organization would benefit from having support teams in each region rather than in one place.

Great people, lack of cohesion

Pros

My supervisor, trainer, BCBA, and other superiors were very welcoming and knowledgable, and will guide you through the process when they're there. Everyone in my team was collaborative towards advocating for our clients and instilling change on maladaptive behavior.

Cons

However, those superiors are rarely around; I saw my Supervisor about once or twice a month, and BCBA once every other month or so. So 90% of the time I'm out in the field alone and was not certain whether the treatment I provided was efficient or not. Also, there was lack of cohesion between Client Services and the parents of the clients. An appointment would be cancelled and I would show up for it anyway because I was not notified of the cancellation. An up-side to this, however, is that when these incidents happen, they still pay you for two hours of your service at your clinical rate.
