Pros

Nice co-workers, nice facility and inventory. Most are working hard to try to make a difference, but when some of the unqualified managers are taking their frustrations out on the employees it does not make for a a pleasant and conducive work environment.

Cons

Where do I begin ? Worst dealer group out there for employees, especially salespeople, the lifeline of their business. You're going to work a 6 day schedule, and they are constantly working on "New Payplans" to pay you less. Most new hires don't make it past 90-180 days, they want you out before you qualify for benefits, then they fill your seat with another naive newbie. I have been in the High-end business for decades and AutoNation was the absolute worst in the way they compensate and regard their most valuable asset, their employees.

Pros

The sales staff I work with have the same attitude

Cons

Not very transparent with pay. Preach one thing and do another. Management is not very-friendly. Supposedly under the new pay plan there should be no pressure to sell a car. Let me tell you if you dont sell a car you will surely hear about it. If you are selling cars you are the managements best friend, guess what if you're not it is a totally different situation.

We appreciate your feedback on your position as a Sales Associate. Here at AutoNation, some long hours are expected and required; but should not be recurring daily. We do not wish for the requirements of this position to negatively impact our employees’ personal lives, and their overall view of the company. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment with our new pay plan, and are feeling pressure at your store. We encourage our employees to contact their direct leader so that these issues can be further addressed.
