Pros

You can work from home to get away from the horrible staff after working for 4-5 months.

Cons

Strict no overtime policy. Training for 2 weeks then you are on your own with your MS teams training videos. Get kickback and shunned if you ever ask a question.

Pros

Any person looking to grow technology-wise will be exposed to a lots of different technologies.

Cons

Hard to articulate the cons as it is long, but I would not recommend to my worst enemy. Management decision making process follow their gut feeling more than facts or what the people doing the work has to say. The breadth in technology is overshadowed by this same decision making process which has kept the company from moving forward and stay up-to-date. If you want professional growth, be willing to pay out of the pocket or push your management to get it funded; they are afraid to invest in your career as you might leave at some point. For years, the IT dept has had a HUGE turnover...be mindful of that before deciding to join as that is for a reason. Hard work takes a lot to be rewarded but being the manager's pet pays-off faster. Let's not forget, work-life balance does not exist here.

Pros

The pay and especially bonus in recent years. Benefits were pretty decent.

Cons

The constant leadership changes in the last 5-7 years has led to a confused and burned out corp team. Things really went off the rails after COVID with huge (and maybe even unnecessary) layoffs, forcing people to return to the office, embarrassing and borderline offensive diversity efforts and a ridiculous level of office politics to get anything done. Leadership is either so out of touch that they don’t notice how low corporate morale has sunk or just don’t care. It’s very sad to see so many people just give up.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a detailed review. Our employees are our most valuable asset at AutoNation and we try to implement a challenging, but enjoyable work experience at the Corporate office. We’re disappointed to know we haven’t completely satisfied your workplace expectations here at AutoNation. We appreciate this feedback and will review it internally when creating new Corporate policies.
