Pros

Few to be brutally honest

Cons

I worked at this company for two years as part of the software development team responsible for building a new platform — an initiative that was ultimately abandoned due to poor leadership, rampant mismanagement, and unsustainable costs. The company has since reverted to its outdated legacy system, a move that has done nothing to contribute to sustainable growth. The biggest problem is the CEO. Since taking over in early 2024, he has created a hostile and fear-driven environment. Conversations often devolve into tirades, and any disagreement — no matter how respectfully presented — is treated as insubordination. Employees are regularly let go for failing to flatter his ego, while competent staff either burn out or resign. His volatile temperament and messiah-like delusions make collaboration nearly impossible, and innovation has ground to a halt. What was once a promising company has become a cautionary tale of how toxic leadership can destroy morale, talent, and customer trust. I’m deeply grateful to have left and would strongly advise anyone considering employment here to look elsewhere.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. While I respect that everyone is entitled to their own experience, I do want to address the tone and some of the statements made here. Autosoft welcomes constructive criticism, but personal attacks, exaggerated characterizations, and disrespectful language are neither accurate nor productive. Since late 2024, Autosoft has been undergoing a significant transformation. These changes have been intentional, data-driven, and designed to strengthen the company’s long-term stability. In fact, Autosoft is more financially secure today than it has been in many years, and every major decision, including adjustments to product direction, personnel, and operational structure, has been made with sustainability and future growth in mind. I recognize that not everyone will agree with or fully understand the reasoning behind these changes. That’s true in any company navigating a major modernization effort. But disagreement must remain respectful. Positioning decisive leadership as “hostile” or referring to a CEO with inflammatory language does a disservice to the many dedicated team members who are working hard every day to move Autosoft forward. We expect professionalism, accountability, and collaboration from all employees, and we will always stand by decisions made to protect that culture. Pushing the company toward excellence is not “insubordination.” However, misalignment, refusal to collaborate, or undermining team direction certainly is. Autosoft is on a strong, stable path, and I ask current and potential team members to trust the process as we continue building a company that serves both our employees and our dealers better than ever before. I wish you the best in your future endeavors. Anthony Belcher

Pros

I don’t think that living with the fear of job loss counts as a positive. So, there’s nothing positive here.

Cons

The work culture is toxic and insanely stressful. People are terminated regularly, and the only question that comes to mind is who has the target on their back next. Please avoid working here if you prefer job stability. These awful people can fire you for no logical reason.

Autosoft is transforming our company to better align with the needs of our customers, and many legacy employees have been with us for 20 years. At times, we have been forced to make business decisions that have led to team members being let go, who were hired for a future state Autosoft, and we aren't there yet. Autosoft has suffered misalignment for years across the teams, and we are actively working daily to provide a better experience for our internal customers. Change is extremely painful, and at times, doing the right thing leads to tough decisions we don’t take lightly. That said, the reality of our size and the speed at which we are growing sometimes requires us to make difficult staffing decisions. These decisions are never spur of the moment but carefully thought through prior to any change. When we let people go, it hurts us as much as it hurts them, because we know that our employees are people who provide for their families and are relied upon by others. At the same time, we must remain fiscally sound to ensure that we can continue supporting the dealers who depend on us every day. If we don’t, we risk falling short for them, and ultimately for everyone who is part of the Autosoft community. Our commitment is to keep pushing forward, improving our culture, strengthening our business, and building an environment where our people feel supported, valued, and proud to be part of this company. Pros

Long standing automotive retail software. Decent reputation for customer service in the industry. Investing in new software to save future.

Cons

Keeping good managers for more than a year or two. High School level drama throughout. CEO blame game and fear of success. Lack of a consistent plan, high investment risk/cost, losing clients and resources.
