Pros

Lots of opportunities to learn Type of work is interesting Fully Remote

Cons

This used to be an enjoyable place to work, but things have changed this year. Teams have been reshuffled for new projects, resulting in double the workload for individuals. This has also made it difficult to take advantage of the unlimited pto that Availty offers. Despite communicating these concerns to leadership, there has been no indication of plans to address this issue. Availity's motto is "If it feels like work, you're doing it wrong." Unfortunately, it has felt like an overwhelming amount of work for a while now, making Availty no different from other companies.

Pros

Remote Self Autonomy Talented Individuals (who are leaving left and right)

Cons

My time at Availity has left me with a profound sense of disappointment. While the company boasts about being a great place to work, the reality is a work environment characterized by double standard policies, lack of accountability, biased management, and a decline in employee morale. One of the most significant concerns is the double standard policies enforced by management. Expectations and rules are set for employees, but it becomes evident that management does not follow them. This inconsistency breeds inequality and erodes trust among the workforce, creating an atmosphere of resentment and frustration. Furthermore, the lack of accountability within Availity is a prevailing issue. Managers often neglect to take responsibility for their actions and decisions, leading to a culture where mistakes go unchecked and problems persist. This absence of consequences perpetuates a cycle of inequality and a lack of trust throughout the organization. Bias within management practices exacerbates the negative experience at Availity. It is disheartening to witness favoritism and different standards applied to employees based on personal preferences or relationships. Such biased behavior erodes trust and creates an unfair and unproductive work environment that undermines the potential for growth and success. Adding to the frustration is the recent imposition of mandatory time tracking for salary associates. The requirement to clock time and the subsequent weekly review by management creates an atmosphere of micromanagement and a lack of trust. Employees feel constantly monitored and distrusted, hindering their ability to take ownership of their responsibilities and stifling autonomy. The combination of these issues leads to a significant decline in employee morale. The lack of transparency, communication, and fairness damages trust and motivation within the organization. Employees may feel undervalued and powerless, as concerns go unaddressed and opportunities for growth and advancement are limited. While Availity may possess technological capabilities and a skilled workforce, the pervasive management issues overshadow these strengths. The company's failure to address the double standard policies, lack of accountability, biased management practices, and intrusive time tracking damages its credibility and reputation. In conclusion, my experience at Availity was marred by double standard policies, lack of accountability, biased management, and intrusive time-tracking practices. These issues create a toxic work environment, hamper employee morale, and undermine the potential for growth and success. Prospective employees seeking a fair and transparent workplace may find Availitys approach disappointing and detrimental to their professional well-being.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We sincerely appreciate your openness in expressing your concerns regarding the enforcement of our company's policies, accountability, management practices, and employee morale. Your feedback is valuable to us as we continuously strive to improve and create a positive work environment for everyone. First and foremost, we want to acknowledge your frustrations and assure you that we take these issues very seriously. It is essential for us to address any discrepancies in policies and management practices to ensure fairness and transparency throughout the organization. We understand that a double-standard policy can lead to frustration and low morale among employees. We have several ways to share feedback: First, we offer an employee survey to collect feedback and make informed decisions about internal operations. Second, we recommend seeking out opportunities to have constructive conversations with your immediate supervisor or manager. Open and honest communication is crucial in addressing any perceived biases and bridging the gap between management and employees. Third, we encourage you to consider speaking with our Human Resources department about your concerns. Your feedback will assist them in identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective measures. Availity believes in fostering a culture of inclusivity, fairness, and accountability. We are continuously working to enhance our policies, provide training programs for managers, and promote transparency throughout the organization. Pros

There are no pros in my opinion.

Cons

- They forced new employees to leave 5 star reviews during our first week which is why they have such great reviews. -They micromanage and require you to keep your camera on at all times if you work remotely. -If you are even one second late coming back from lunch break, you get penalized -High turn-over, lots of people are quitting.

Thank you for taking the time to provide a review. You see, early feedback might tell us about our hiring and onboarding processes, whereas feedback from more tenured associates can inform our culture or technologies, or business practices. Good or bad, associate feedback is a critical part of our culture—whether you’ve been with us for five years or five minutes. It’s all valuable and vital to improving. We are going to disagree with your torture assessment. However, if you felt that you had a bad experience, we apologize. It’s surprising to hear, given that Availity was just recognized for the second year in a row as a certified Great Place to Work™ company. This designation comes from surveys of our associates—94% of which said that we are a great place to work. Does that mean we are perfect? Of course not. Availity is a continuous improvement company, and we use associate feedback to identify where and how we can improve. While we don’t encourage the behavior, there are likely instances of micromanagement taking place in pockets of our organization as it does in most organizations. But this behavior is fixable when we know about it, so we encourage associates to speak up. Lastly, Availity does not have a camera use policy for remote associates. Some managers prefer to have the cameras on during meetings, and others don’t—we leave that to the manager’s discretion.
