Pros

Abundant overtime due to bad practices.

Cons

Availity was dishonest about hiring on contractors full time for a new call center after 6 months, ultimately learned they never had a plan to even measure contractors to be retained, choosing to replace us with new hires.

Thank you for your review. Availity has not hired contractors for our client services roles for the past four years. At that time, we did retain contractors and hired some of them into full-time roles based on performance. At Availity, we strive to be as transparent as possible with our hiring processes. We are a performance-based company that recognizes and rewards associates based on performance and performance improvement. Thank you again for your review. We wish you much success in your future.

Thank you for your feedback. Part of being a transformational organization is taking criticism and putting it into action. Availity’s leadership team knows that change can be difficult for associates, so they have been discussing change across the enterprise and digging deeper into each group to identify what change means to them. To remain competitive, we must find new ways to drive value back to the organization and accelerate innovation—regardless of our role. This transformation brings a new level of accountability and expectation to all positions, and some of these discussions are challenging. We strive to treat everyone at Availity with kindness and respect, so please share how you feel with your manager or contact your HR business partner for assistance.

I'm in therapy after Availity

Pros

"Unlimited" PTO, which sounds great, but be careful because some employers use this as a means to justify denying PTO since you are not entitled to a define amount. HR recruiters are fantastic. If you're a hiring manager, these folks work very hard for you. Work from home with no expectation to be at the office Highest levels of management are really decent

Cons

To put it bluntly, I am now seeking mental health treatment after my time at Availity. I have never sought this in my life before Availity. But my leadership and its seemingly relentless style of get-it-done at all costs combined with little respect for work-family boundaries and a suffocating micromanagement style was too much. I know not all of Availity is like this. There are good people that genuinely care. I miss those people. But the cons of what drove me to seek mental health treatment and ultimately leave Availity far outweigh the pros of my experience

Thank you for sharing your comments, though we are sorry to hear about some of your experiences. This review must have been difficult for you to share, so let's discuss it. Availity offers several incredible benefits to its associates, including unlimited PTO, 401K matching, medical, dental, and vision coverage, wellness reimbursement, remote work, an employee assistance program, and more! Unlimited PTO is what it says—unlimited—and we offer it to allow the flexibility associates need to maintain that healthy work-life balance when unexpected things come up in their personal lives. For the most part, our managers make every effort to accommodate PTO requests, but they need to balance the requests with our commitments to our clients, who rely on us to serve their patients and members throughout the country. We genuinely care about our associates at Availity and promote health and wellness in several ways. We also encourage associates to have a meaningful, open dialog with their managers about their roles, workloads, and any issues impacting their ability to thrive at Availity. We also have an open-door policy so that our associates can reach out to any leader in the organization at any time to discuss concerns. Again, thank you for your feedback. We are so glad that you are getting the professional help that you feel you need. We wish you much success in your future.
