Pros

good work hours but that's it

Cons

Toxic company and would never recommend. 1. Promote people who does less work than others. 2. Deceptive, I have a person thinking they are 'family' but in reality, your best chances are being fired, written up or not fairly credited. 3. Not everyone is held to the same standards. 4. Excellent workers has been treated unfairly, lost positionsome because of merger and gave position to the other company. 5. Good work doesn't take precedence over a mistake. 6. Some people can make multiple mistakes and still employed, while others are handled harshly. This company makes me sick. I have never heard of prior employees with good comments about Availity. The positive post are most likely someone who is currently working there trying to make people think this is a great company. You're better off somewhere else. Just pure toxic

At every company people have different points of view on how hard others work or the level of contribution made. We charge our managers to set high expectations for individual goals and train them on performance management. It is unfortunate that your experience with Availity left you with this impression. We value our talented employees and our culture of collaboration and innovation. A company’s culture is not something that happens to you, but something you shape; we own it together. Best of luck in your future endeavors.

New hires beware...

Pros

Company seems to be healthy, competitive, and employs good people.

Cons

From the time I was there, I gathered they hire and fire somewhat quickly. I heard stories about "x intern" or "y new hire", that was let go shortly later. I was also let go after a very short time for unclear reasons. They hire in bulk and keep a very select few. If this is your first job out of college, don't expect to be considered for the long term. They certainly aren't. This is speculation, but I suspect they hire people with not much experience in hopes they are worth much more than they are paid. A significant portion of their staff consists of younger people (at least the programmers). They keep the top performers and lay the rest to the wayside.

Internships are always for specific time periods and we have not had an intern leave during their defined internship period since we rolled our program out 2 years ago. We have had very positive experiences with our Interns and have hired 75% of those who have graduated and are available for full time employment with amazing results. We have only had one involuntary termination in our Developer group in the past year so we do typically hire the best and work to retain these individuals. It is regretful that you’ve had a negative experience and we’d be happy to provide additional feedback if you felt that your separation resulted from unclear circumstances. Please contact us at availityhr@availity.com if you’d like to discuss in person.

We are growing rapidly, as is the industry in which we work. From onboarding several new clients to rapidly changing technology and innovation, Availity is a thriving organization. This growth comes with growing pains and competing priorities, but we are improving every day. Our recent transformation initiative was designed to empower associates at every level of the organization to make changes that drive value back to the organization. Your feedback is valued and appreciated. We agree, and we are very proud to have some of the most talented individuals in healthcare and technology working at Availity. Our benefits team has created a very competitive total rewards program that includes the unlimited PTO that you mentioned. Our goal is to fuel a culture that encourages a healthy work-life balance, even in our fast-paced environment. Again, thank you for your feedback—keep it coming. We are happy to have you on the team!
