Pros

Rewarding work. A relatively nice benefit package.

Cons

Over the last 2 years I was employed at Avalere Heatlh, the company experienced frequent changes in upper leadership and restructuring of the organization, which made for an unstable work environment. It felt like the company was uncertain where it was going or how it would get there, causing a lot of reactive decision making that usually included layoffs every 6 months or so. I had the impression many of my peers were simply collecting a paycheck and were less inspired or motivated by the company than in previous years.

The ever-shrinking club of capable, moral humans who hold it all together

Cons

This place is absurd. Co-workers disappear regularly. Those who remain work with one eye over our shoulder, expecting at any moment to be silently removed ourselves. Yet the leaders and their merry band of sycophants keep jet-setting around the world, telling everyone to think happy thoughts as they ask us to do more, for less, with less, and less, and less...The CEO gleefully fiddles his lyre as Rome burns.
