Should be shut down

Pros

This place should be shut down.

Cons

The facility on a daily basis worked understaffed. Outside of legal limits. Management is unprofessional, disrespectful, and have no care for the employees or residents. The facility was not equipped with proper equipment to properly do our responsibilities and job description. Employees had to buy their own vitals equipment because Avamere didn’t supply any. There were not enough bed chucks per the resident capacity causing residents to go through multiple bed changes a day and night. Residents dignity was not respected. I, personally, reported verbal and physical abuse by a former employee to several different residents that I and others witnessed ourselves. Residents who also spoke up and it was swept under the rug. Management refused to pay me reimbursements for my CNA license and BLS. Per our union contract if submitted and requested they had 30 days to reimburse the employee. I have several emails and texts regarding this. I was paying union dues and according to the union my dues were not being paid monthly even though it showed on my paystubs. Avamere coded my job title incorrectly and refused to fix this. I also have emails for this. Management refused to pay me bonuses for picking up shifts that I was promised which I also have texts of. They did not finish the hiring process and didn’t provide a TB test or check any information. Continent residents were crying from the lack of care given due to the lack of staff per resident. Census was not adequate per staff and the residents were suffering. Many complaints from residents were made. Waiting over a hour for care and call lights. Resulting in them wetting themselves and than sitting in it until someone shows. When information, concerns, and issues were brought to management’s attention they specifically said to us that “If we didn’t like the situation we could quit” and “management won’t help staff because they don’t get paid enough to deal with this”. There’s so much more, so if you’d like to hear the rest you’re more than welcome to contact me.
