Pros

Decent pay and commission Updated work space

Cons

After the company was merged with the other, everything was extremely unorganized for months. As a sales rep, we were given old leads (some dating back to 2014) then reprimanded for not hitting goal. Asking for assistance time and time again with little to no help. Started realizing that I was the only one drowning and I can only believe it was because of my gender and opposing religious beliefs. Then I had to leave the company due to a family emergency and dealt with a manager that outright lied to the state about the job position and why I needed to leave out of state. He should be ashamed of what he did and said since he wasn’t even in the country when the situation happened. I was pushed out of the company as quickly as I came in. I would never go back nor would I ever recommend this place to anyone.

No Leadership, Setup for Failure

Pros

Good healthcare, decent pay, flexible work schedule.

Cons

There is no sense of leadership. My manager was not meant to be a leader or manager, too busy working on their projects for Professional Services and didn't take time out to make sure I had available resources for onboarding. When you hire someone new to the company, you should at least give them proper training for the job they do. The new hire should not only get help from the employee with seniority of 2 months who is also running their own projects and wasn't inclusive on shadowing them. I addressed my issues with training in my 3 month evaluation saying I don't have proper training, I don't have any projects to work on. No one is giving me anything to do at work. I addressed that I felt like I'm not a part of the team as I feel like I was just hired just to be hired. Come to my 6 month evaluation and turns out I'm let go because I wasn't doing any projects and blamed me for having errors on my FIRST project with little to no training which I previously addressed as a concern at my 3 month evaluation. My manager may be good at their job in Professional Services department, but wasn't a good leader/manager to be leading new hires that are new to the company and the industry the company serves. I felt like I was setup for failure from the start.

Pros

When I joined Avetta was still small. It was a fun, energetic, collaborative, people-centered company. Everyone knew each other and that culture was second to none. We believe in making a difference in the world. We saved lives through help people comply with safety procedures to ensure that people could make it home safely.

Cons

Over time, things changed as the business grew. It became more segmented. Top leadership brought in outside hires vs developing form within. Many departments followed suit. We did not collaborate well nor really try to develop or utilize the great talent they had. Many of us over time left for other opportunities because we no longer felt that they cared. And often rejected good ideas for the ones that were deemed worthy. It takes a while to get a promotion and even then they are not always transparent or will side to promote friends and family over some qualified candidates.
