Used to be a great place to work at pre-covid. The pay is consistently low. You are not rewarded for doing great work but are expected to outperform the competition nevertheless. Other than medical, the benefits are non-existent.
Since the Covid 19 epidemic, Axiom has become a revolving door. There was a time when Axiom used to reward its staff with gifts or events, but there no longer is any appreciation for great work. They just say "great job" in an email.
Moreover, some of the top clients that I worked for dismissed most of the Axiom attorneys because the cost ratio just doesn't make sense.
Finally, the opportunities have become stale and you find yourself interviewing with clients over and over again, just to find out they have pivoted and decided to go another route. But I am assuming that is the story they tell Axiom. I think their clients are starting to realize that Axiom charges too much, without compensating it staff, resulting in unenthusiastic talent that are only there to get a paycheck until they find a better opportunity.
Almost no possibility for career growth.
If you are a semi retired or retired attorney, this may work for you. Otherwise, I would skip this place.
The culture of this place is also lacking. You have very young people managing attorneys and they give the attorney talent serious attitude. What used to be a very supportive staff, has become a group of shark like sales people who look at the attorney talent as a commodity rather than professionals.
By the way, I took a vacation after many years, just to find out that they had an issue with that. A good company should encourage its employees to take time off, not the opposite. Really disappointing. I decided I had to leave, the company no longer was what it used to be, Even if Axiom came back and offered me more money, I would rather be unemployed.
