      Pros

      If you are worried that this sounds too good to be true, put your fears at rest. Belay truly is a great agency. They care about their contractors and will work to place you in the best situation for both you and the client. They provide support and training. They provide a listening ear if your placement becomes "tricky". They are a great company committed to the best service possible.

      Cons

      You need to be sure that working as your own boss and on a 1099 basis is right for you. There are definite cons to consider - you run your business but you are also responsible for it and not everyone wants to take on that level of commitment. You pay taxes and track business expenses. It's not for everyone so consider that when you consider moving to this type of work.

      Fantastic Remote Company

      Pros

      The oversight of client and contractor from Belay is exceptional - it is not overbearing, but always available as needed. Belay is very concerned with both the client and the contractor experience. The payroll system for contractors is easy to use. Great opportunities to communicate with other contractors when in need of advice regarding a particular challenge.

      Cons

      The ONLY con is that when you sign an agreement for a certain pay rate, you are locked into that pay rate regardless of the quality of your work or length of time with a client. There are no "raises."

Depending on certain circumstances, contractors may have the opportunity for a raise but we do also have caps on our positions.       Legit Work from Home Oppertunity

      Pros

      Legit work from home work. Decent pay. Good support from headquarters.

      Cons

      Taking any sort of time off is a total pain and often not worth it. You are required to make your hours up. Not bad if you have a small client with 30-45 hours per month, but trying to make up a week of hours for a full time client/clients is AWFUL! I've worked during family vacations and holidays just so I don't have to come back and work 40+ hour weeks to make it up. Clients are led to believe we as VA's are making $40/hour, Belay takes approximately a 50% cut from clients before VA is paid. CSC's are not consistent with what the role of VA is from one client to another.

In regard to your question about carrying hours over, that is best suited to your CSC. They would better be able to directly address your concerns. We absolutely want our contractors to feel trust and we would like the chance to answer your questions if you can submit a support ticket.
