Work from home with flexible schedule. It was what I needed at the time to transition out from a corporate environment.

Cons

They pay 1099, not W-2. That is illegal. They have responded to posts already stating that everyone knew this upfront-and that is true. But that knowledge does not make it legal. I must use the payroll company, bill pay service, and document portal they tell me to. I must upload specific documents, including a bank reconciliation to prove that it had been completed, to their portal. The pay is competitive to a W-2 rate, but not 1099 rate. And, of course, because it is 1099, no benefits.

They guarantee that you will get paid as a contractor. Great community.

Cons

You are a contractor so do not expect them to give you the hours that you need. You go through an application process that matches you with a client, which can take a very long time. As a contractor you do not get any benefits with the company. They match you with the clients they thing you would be a good fit.

At the beginning of our application and in the job description we state that this is a 1099 Independent Contractor position, therefore hours are not a guarantee and there are no benefits. While this works for many, we understand that it is not always the best option for others. Additionally, we are sorry to hear that you are frustrated with our process, as we believe our process is what sets us apart in the industry. Our matchmaking is intentional and purposeful to ensure that the client and contractor are compatible in both skillset and personality. This has proven a much higher success and satisfaction rate in the engagement!
