This was one of the most exhausting and frustrating work environments I’ve ever experienced. Management constantly nitpicked every little thing while completely ignoring the fact that employees were severely overworked and understaffed. I was doing the work of multiple people, repeatedly expressed concerns about burnout, and begged for additional help, but nothing ever changed. Instead, overtime became the expectation almost every single day.
Despite taking on an overwhelming workload and keeping the department running, I was denied a raise and made to feel like I was always doing something wrong. The micromanagement was unbearable, communication from leadership was passive aggressive, and it often felt like management had no real understanding of what was actually happening in the department.
Employees did not feel valued or cared for at all. Even basic requests for time off were regularly denied. Overall, the environment was draining, unsupportive, and completely unsustainable.
