Pros

Flexible schedule Paid holidays and all banking holidays Great place to start your career Good benefits

Cons

No work/life balance. I feel like my job demands so much of me that I don’t get to create a hobby or routine outside of work. I get a lot of pressure from other areas of the bank and have way more than I should riding on my shoulders. The bonus structure is terrible along with the raises. I’m mentally exhausted and stressed when I come home. I don’t feel like the employee is truly appreciated for the work that is done. There’s not a good path for growth. It’s more “what do you want to do/lean” instead of a combination of that and here is an area we think you would excel/we would like for you to learn this.

Pros

Team is full of smart dedicated people who are great to work with. Work is flexible and not very stressful. Compensation and benefits are good.

Cons

Decisions are slow, bureaucratic and top-down with lack of empowerment for individuals and teams. Communication is very siloed. Poor career growth and development opportunities within department. Job levels and pay are unequal and arbitrary across the team.

Pros

- great middle management - enjoyable work environment - opportunity for growth and advancement -decent work/life balance depending on management

Cons

- don't invest well in their employees, like to spend as little as possible in training costs, certifications, etc. - upper management doesn't seem to care much for the opinions of "lower" workers - often outdated or mediocre programs due to unwillingness to invest what is needed in software
