Strong leadership despite too much bureaucracy sometimes
Pros
Working with people who are experts in their fields, hardworking and knowledgeable, good management and generally strong decision-makers. People don't try to hide behind emails and answer the same day. The vision of 'making excellence a habit' can be felt everywhere and is very much encouraged from the top. People get support from their managers and team colleagues, are offered sufficient ongoing training opportunities and are also well rewarded with better than average pay. This is not a government or not-for-profit organisation so people still work hard and play hard.
Cons
As with many larger organisations (2500+) there will always be a higher level of bureaucracy and some people struggle to cope with forms and processes. Certain departments lack dynamics, innnovation and challenge. Career progression and coaching staff to progress in their roles is sometimes fogotten or not actively pursued.
