      Perfect as a stepping stone for your career

      Pros

      - Engaging problems to solve, and complete flexibility on how to tackle them. - Lives up to its motto of having an startup approach, with the security of an established company. - Only good experiences with management so far, and a lot of flexibility and trust is put on employees, which really helps keep you motivated and committed.

      Cons

      - Salary is slightly below average, but the really good treatment of employees and the tremendous learning opportunities make up for it.

      We try hard to foster a corporate culture that is more Google and Less (insert large, stuffy, formal, corporate type environment company here), and this is sometimes hard in our industry. Defense contracts are not usually know for their approach to innovation, so we are glad we have customers like DARPA that value our approach. We will make sure we continue to pursue additional work that allows you to grow your skills and expand your experience.

      Good Prospects, Good Environment, and Good Work

      Pros

      - Work is interesting and fulfills a need for difficult or complicated problems to solve. - Management is friendly and open- they seem to go out of their way to let the team know what's going on in the company both in terms of our contract and other projects. - Compensation is reasonable- salary is slightly below average but the benefits more than make up for it. - Office is stocked with coffee (free) and food (free) and drinks (non-alcoholic, free) - Freedom to tackle problems how ever we see fit using whatever technology we want to try our hands in with no questions asked - Flexible time off. Amazing.

      Cons

      - Client is VERY VERY annoying. Unreasonable expectations for a undersized budget and dev team. Unwilling or unable to follow through with their own contract requirements for other teams on the project. - Shaky turn over for HR, very odd. - Contract requirements are All. If you need to get work done and you haven't finished it on time, expect to work late until you have because we have a deadline and no wiggle room for delivery. If you're fast and good, not a problem. If not...

      We feel that communication (and coffee) are key! We are glad that the projects that we work on are challenging for our team, because if they were not we would be wasting your talent. We cant controls our customers demands, but we are working to manage expectations. Unfortunately for out team, our great work sets a high bar! Keep up the great work and drive because this is what will keep us in challenging project in the future. We have only had one turnover in HR personnel, and we feel like we have found our solution for the long haul, so we hope that our current team provides the stability and systems to better support our people.

      Pros

      Very good benefits, management that cares about employees, significant growth currently happening and anticipated to continue to occur. Unlimited opportunities to develop as an engineer and work in areas that you are most interested.

      Cons

      Some contracts seem to lack a bit of support from the requestor's side even though development team continue to deliver features on time to meet requirements. This means that even very good work can basically just be until the end of the contract instead of growing into larger contracts which is tough when we take such pride in what we do.

      We are glad that we are providing opportunities to work with the technologies that you are interested in, and are providing opportunities to develop. We are always actively trying to expand our contracts and access to new projects and we expect that to be happening soon. Unfortunately as contractors, it is hard to pressure your customers to do more when you want, but be assured that we are always looking for new/more customers!
