Toxic Work Enviorment

Pros

The opportunity to encourage youth and adults to follow their dreams of getting an education.

Cons

The president and cabinet are toxic, unqualified, and clueless about the needs of the staff, faculty, and students. Dr. McCurdy is rude, crass, and uncaring. Those who came to the school to bring about positive change ran away. We had a good VP of Finance, Director of PR, VP of HR, Director of Student Success, and VP of Academic Affairs and they all quit. Anyone who cares about the staff or students doesn't stay. The turnover is high because the leadership is corrupt and mentally abusive.

Pros

Many of the long-standing staff there are AMAZING! They believe in building community among the staff.

Cons

Everything outside of my former colleagues is a con. I was not paid properly while there, my supervisor made unrealistic demands, and the President never revealed my program's budget. I was told to figure it out on several occasions.
