Great for work-life balance

Pros

It’s a great place to work. The pace is comfortable and allows you to enjoy your time. People are nice, to the point if almost being misunderstood. If you read online reviews, some past employers complain about a cult like atmosphere, which always makes me chuckle. There is no cult here. Yes, some of the leadership are religious and others are a little too « nice ». But since when is it a bad thing to have strong faith and being kind? It’s a little strange that those things are being weaponised against them, no? There was this hilarious hit piece written earlier in 2024 complaining about how Bandwidth leadership was obsessed with God, reading leadership books and working out. While laughing I thought to myself, if that is the worst thing they can say about us, then we’re doing well.

Cons

Pay could be better (but could also be worse) and because everyone is so kind , especially on leadership level, they tend to try to make it more even across the org, rather than single out the high performing individuals or teams. And, like in every company, the loud ones get better and more of everything whereas the quiet performers are largely overlooked. Then, work-life balance is so achievable here cause the pace is slooooooow. I would personally prefer a more dynamic pace, but can see how many people might enjoy a slower pace that can accommodate also those of a more mid to low range skillset.

Very happy in London

Pros

I've been at Bandwidth for 8 months now and I can't believe some of the negative comments on here. The majority are from Raleigh, so I don't think this should speak for the feeling of the whole company. Particularly in London, we have a high degree of flexibility - we've been asked to come in 3 days which is pretty standard with other companies now. There's lots of pros to list - - Great culture, with people who work hard and care about their jobs - who also have a laugh!! - Amazing work life balance, you're encouraged to switch off after hours and not be contacted on annual leave - Lots of team events, free food, drinks etc. - Beautiful office, lots of space and desks - Growing company with lots of opportunity

Cons

- We are a smaller satellite office, communication, messaging and processes aren't always consistent. This needs to improve for us to deliver on our big targets - David Morken (CEO) hasn't visited London yet.
