As a Customer Service Rep, I was able to converse with customers at their last point of sale in a friendly professional manner. I was responsible also to help them save money with the store's credit card and I was very good at convincing them how they couldn't pass up the savings. Meeting people from all over the world and working in an unusual atmosphere similar to a forest keeps everyone in a friend uplifting mood. My ongoing theory: the Customer is #1.
Cons
The registers were positioned too close to the exit doors so in the winter, we could feel the freezing temperatures. Even the customers were uncomfortable.
After 2 weeks training you're on your own so to speak. But, you always have help from a seasoned supervisor. You can pick your schedule. If there's an emergency you can trade if it's available. They give you carte' blanche to compensate the customer within their guidelines.
Cons
There is no pay for internet. If your internet goes down over a couple hours you get docked points as if you were late.
