Pros

If you fit into their "popular" crowd high school mold and have very little work experience (so you have nothing to compare to) this might work for you.

Cons

If you check on Linkedin, you will see that the turnover is very high here due to very bad management - unethical, incompetent, self serving, etc. You will see a few people that stay but the majority of people do not.

Hello, Thank you for sharing your candid feedback, and we regret that you had a negative experience working for our firm. We have been voted among the Best Staffing Firms to Work For by Staffing Industry Analysts for the past four years consecutively, and so we take what kind of work environment we are fostering seriously and want to make sure we work to improve. With that said, we think it is important to note that your assertion regarding LinkedIn lacks context. As you know, the majority of our business is temporary staffing, and individuals choose temporary assignments for a myriad of reasons – trying to break in with a dream company, trying to get experience while they are in school, or just trying to fill the gaps between more permanent work experiences. And many of our candidates identify that they worked with us on LinkedIn. So, when you search for past employees on LinkedIn, a large portion of the search results will be individuals who worked on temp assignments with us, and is not a reflection of high turnover as you have ascertained. Industry figures estimate that between 40-45% of recruiters leave the industry after nine months. On average, the members of our recruiting and sales team have been here for over three years. On Glassdoor, our overall rating of 4.5 exceeds the Glassdoor average of 3.4, and 88.0% of reviewers would recommend us to a friend, as compared to the Glassdoor average of 61.6%. If you filter out all current employees and look at reviews just left by former employees, our overall rating is 3.8, which exceeds the average former employee Glassdoor review of 3.0. 69.0% of our former employees would recommend us to a friend. I do not mention all this to invalidate your experiences. We are at our best when our recruiters are happy, feel valued, and feel like they are part of a team. And we are sorry that you did not feel like this in your time here. If you would be willing to share with us more details of your experience so we can improve our service, please consider sending us an email at contactus@beaconhillstaffing.com, where your messge will be reviewed by a member of the marketing team. Thank you and we wish you all the best in your future career endeavors.

Pros

Beacon Hill Staffing is everything I wanted in a company. Management allows you to run your desk the way you want but is always accessible if you have a question or need help. You are truly rewarded in this company for the hard work you put in and not a day goes by where you don't receive some sort of postiive feedback in regards to how you're performing. If you're looking to break into the Staffing Industry, Beacon Hill is definitely the place you want to start and continue your career

Cons

-None I can think of at the time!

Pros

I was contacted by a BH Recruiter last Fall. It was a quick turnaround - from the time she contacted me to setting me up with a temp-to-perm job in downtown Chicago.

Cons

Once you committed to the job assignment, it became very difficult to get a hold of the Recruiter concerned for any updates on the job and any further questions regarding benefits, etc. Communication was lacking when I had to ask her several times over the starting time of my job stint. Yet, when she wanted to boost her ratings, she had no issues in calling me daily to get a reply from me. I just felt used and I know that I was just a commission check to this company, but still, have some respect for your temps so that they want to stay working at your job assignments. After this, I don't have any inclination to refer my friends to BH (Chicago) anymore.
